Success class is a special time allotted within our school day to model and practice how to be a responsible student.
What do you do during Success time?
Success time is structured to ensure that we use every minute to help grow our learner to be responsible students. This time will also include team meetings with our counselors, principals, as well as team celebrations.
Our week will generally work as follows:
Monday: Binder check; alternate between a Bully Blockers lesson and Spanish grammar Tuesday: Spanish silent reading Wednesday: Homework Haven (homework help time) Thursday: Recess Friday: Learning activity (review of academic skills from any given subject area)
What else do I need to know about Success class?
The most important thing to note is that this class is taught entirely in SPANISH! Students are to use the target language in both an academic and conversational structure as a way to increase their overall proficiency.
The respective Success teacher should be your point of contact for team communication. If you would like to meet with teachers to see how your child is progressing, the Success teacher will set-up the meeting time with the entire team.
This is the time when students see announcements and receive their grading reports.
This class is NOT graded. This is an opportunity for students to work on being responsible learners.
